So i know i have not blogged in a bit but i have been tweeting a lot so i added it to my blog so you can always see what im doing. decided to go race the Uk Bikepark race what are always fun because of the super quick uplifts.
started with a early wake up at 6 in the morning to drive to the venue with my mate bill farrington Then got straight into practice. The track was one i had ridden before called tusubo that has a long pedal across the top then straight into a fun tech section what i was looking forward to racing on.
After a couple practice runs i had a massive crash and hit my head and gave myself a bit of a concussion and dented my helmet but still rode on because it did not feel to bad even tho it made me nervous coming into the section every run.
Race runs came around and i had only had one clean run down the hill so i was nervous for my first run but i though i would just push the the top and then relax across the middle and push to the end and it seemed to work with me having the fastest time of the day for the first run but i knew it wouldn't hold so second run came along and i was he first on the track because it was like a free for all with was good for me because i hate waiting for my runs. came down alot quicker and smoother it felt but i was still on a 1.29.06 and only beat by 0.06 so i can not complain i came 2nd for my first race of 2012 feeling confident for the next year.
